STEP 1:

Apply from 10 March to 14 April 2026 via the Western Cape Education Department’s online system.

Register yourself and your child – (please REMEMBER your login details & password).

How to print your proof of online application:

1. Log in via http://admissions.westerncape.gov.za
2. On the left hand side of the screen – click on TRACK APPLICATION STATUS
3. Find the schools of your choice (for example: HENDRIK LOUW)
4. Click on the PRINT option – print the 2-page document

STEP 2:

Within 7 days of your WCED online application, hand in the following documents at the school reception or send it via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

• Hendrik Louw application form (COMPULSORY)
• Learner’s unabridged birth certificate
• ID’s of both parents
• Proof of home address
• Clinic card (only the page reflecting the immunisations)
• Latest report (if available)
• Transfer card (if applicable)
• Colour photo of learner
• Proof of your online application (2-pages)

STEP 3:

• The WCED (not the school) will notify you of your results via email or SMS.
• If your application is successful, Hendrik Louw Primary School will invite you to our orientation day for all Grade RR to Grade 1 learners of the following year. This will take place in November 2026.
